Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Data City Telecoms Nigeria platform (website and mobile app). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Data City provides digital services including airtime top-up, data purchase, cable TV subscriptions, electricity bill payment, and wallet funding. Service availability depends on network partners and payment providers.
2. Account Eligibility
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and transaction PIN confidential.
- You must not allow unauthorized persons to use your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or policy violations.
3. Wallet & Payments
- Wallet funding via bank transfer uses your assigned virtual account details.
- A service charge may apply to wallet funding (for example ₦50 per bank transfer funding).
- Successful purchases deduct the applicable amount from your wallet balance.
- Payment confirmations depend on our payment partners and may take a short time to reflect.
4. Transactions
- Enter correct phone numbers, meter numbers, and IUC numbers before confirming a purchase.
- Completed successful transactions are generally non-reversible once delivered by the network/provider.
- Failed transactions that were charged may be refunded to your wallet after verification.
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by third-party networks or providers.
5. Pricing
Prices, discounts, and account types may change. The amount shown at checkout (including any discount for your account type) is the amount charged for that transaction.
6. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for illegal activity or money laundering.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse our systems or APIs.
- Create multiple accounts to evade limits, bans, or fees.
- Submit false information or impersonate another person.
7. Account Deletion
You may delete your account from the app (Security / Delete Account). Once deleted, your account status is set to deleted and you will no longer be able to sign in or use the service with that account.
For security, legal, fraud-prevention, dispute resolution, and accounting purposes, we may retain your account and transaction data after deletion. Deleting your account disables access; it does not require us to erase all historical records immediately.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Data City is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses caused by network downtime, third-party failures, or incorrect details supplied by you.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect revisions.
